A friend of mine owns a junk courtyard. He gave me a motor, 2001 Honda Civic. The car does NOT enjoy a title, and is considered "Salvaged". The car itself is not contained by that bad of condition, it be just vandilized and abandonded..so it desires a new windshield, possibly a new paintjob, and a insightful cleaning inside, but other than that, the sports car is good condition. I know that I will enjoy to get these things repaired since we have it inspected.
What my biggest concern is getting it titled into my dub, being that we own no title to begin next to. The man at the junkyard has no auxiliary information on the car's previous owner. I need this title within order to insure, register, and put plates on this vehicle. I dont know what to do here. I enjoy searched the internet beside no luck, maybe someone who know the NY dmv can help me out.

First, if you look on the internet for auto title companies you will find there are numerous title companies, especially one contained by LasVegas I use where you make a contribution them the vin number and for $149 they send you a clear title for the motor notorized for you to sign into your name and later you just clutch the title and car to your sheriff's dept for inspection purely as any other out of state car you verbs. Even if the title was junk in your state they own no way to find out that it wasn't rebuild and retitled in another state. This will be a verbs title too, not a rebuild. Now if you want to move about through the trouble you can call your clerk's organization where you verbs vehicles and ask them what documentation you have need of to get a restructure title for a vehicle. Don't volunteer any more info than they ask for. In the eyes of the govt a vehicle won't be junked out unless nearby is something wrong with it. This system you will probably have to go and get a few receipts for parts you put on it to repair it whether it be spark plugs or whatever. Keep receipts for everything you do to it as you will want them in the process. Most states allow you to reinstate a junk title as a salvage or rebuild title next to the right documentation. Some states require a statement from the person who junk it stating why it was junk and then you want a receipt where on earth you purchased it.
