OK so Bloke A drives out of a side road and hits a Car B travelling along a main road, rendering it a Total Loss. Bloke A admit it was his fault (obviously) and give his name, name of an insurance company, and a conditional address. Police at scene fail to check him out.
Subsequently, it turns out that Bloke A is not insured with the company term he gave at the scene. Car B's insurers announce they are unable to track down Bloke A, and state that Car B's driver will enjoy to take it on the chin, as it were. Car B's driver have lost 4 days pay due to knee injury, have lost his No Claims, plus his pride & joy car (irreplaceable & worth a million to him, however worth peanuts to the insurers), and has forked out for a week's hire car on the initial direction of his insurers.
What on earth does Car B's driver do to get equality?
You claim through the Motor Insurers Bureau, your best off going to a solicitor who can sort it quickly and effortlessly for you - if you go on a no win no fee you don't hold to pay anything.
