I HAVE TRIED PUTTING MY CAR (WHICH I AM LOOKING TO BUY) ON THE CAR DATA CHECK APPARENTLY IT WONT LET ME GO THROUGH THE CHECK BECAUSE THEY CANNOT RECOGNISE THE CAR REGISTRATION

Answers: First of all double check adjectives of the digits to make sure you enter them properly. All vehicles 1981 or newer enjoy 17 digits in the VIN and most information bases will not make out any less than that.
