Answers:    First, BEFORE you go to carry the vehicle, call your current insurance company beside the year, make, model & VIN of the vehicle. Tell them what coverages you want & the hours of daylight that you will become the owner. Have it added to your policy that day. Then, shift to NY DMV with alike information (including your insurance information - company, policy #, effective date, etc) and get a makeshift, in-transit (these are for the purpose of going to ANOTHER STATE) registration & plate (it will be paper close to most temporary plates). THEN, walk pick up the vehicle, drive it home & then shift to PA DMV & get your PA registration & plates.
This mode you will be insured & properly registered for the ride home.
I hope this helps.

What is the cheapest place to grasp...

It adjectives depends on your insurance policy. In general, once you own insurance on the truck it will cover you nationwide.
