I rear-ended someone. And I reported it to my insurance. How do I seize to whip the claim put a bet on?

The guy was breaking erratically , I bumped into him and we took a look at respectively others car. After I give him my info, he said he was within a hurry, had to bring back someplace and left. I be a little shook up and forgot to ask him for at tiniest a phone number.
I waited for 3 hours and after no word, call up my insurance and reported it. Since I didn't have his info I agree to my insurance know about this too.
After I call my insurance, someone told me that I could just settle out of insurance's path, since the damage wasn't too hard to digest. Maybe pay for his bumper and avoid the rise within premiums.

Question is, can I retract my claim? Can I say, we enjoy settled ourselves? Though he hasn't called me however, the guy goes to my church and we can manifestly work everything out.
Also, under what conditions should I agree to my claim stay?

I need warning. And I really appreciate it too!

Getting an MOT - is it a...

I live in the uk and after you report an quirk they normally suspend your no claims and treat you as if you own had an calamity anyway even if it was not your eccentricity.
The other driver sound suspicious are you sure they own a valid licence and insurance there is mortal in a rush and self in a rush if they are driving illicitly why pay them anything ask for nearby details first if they mess you around they may have something to store.

I get into a motor happenstance ?...

I am no legal eagle but, I'd own thought you contact your insurance co, and withdraw the claim

I'm sure they would prefer if you remunerated yourself

If you withdraw the claim, next a claim hasn't been made, and they can't come put money on in the adjectives and say you never informed them

Whoa, only noticed, have the other driver been surrounded by touch or gave you his/her details??

If not he is commiting an indignation

Car Insurance Question?

Answers:    You can't take the claim pay for. You can ask that it be closed that you are handling it yourselves, but the claim record or the report of the claim will be in attendance.

It does depend on WHO you reported it to. If you reported it to an agent, they don't always turn them surrounded by to the company. You can call your agent and ask that he not forward it to the company afterall.

However, if you (or he) turned it contained by to the company, then it is record and cannot be removed, but you can ask for it to be closed without donation.

Added: Ditto Cowboybil...DO NOT take friends proposal...you've already reported...let them switch it!
