Answers: I really don't understand your question. Did you enjoy a license that was suspended, or did they take your travel document? What were the circumstances of whatever be suspended being suspended? What did they tell you you have to do? How long do you have to pay WHAT back you take WHAT again?
Added: thank you for the clarification. Unfortunately, you have a mess on your hand. By Just paying the tickets, not only did you wind up beside a suspended (non existent) license, you have also been convicted of anything the tickets were for, which will mean once you finally do it cleared up by paying bad the fines and waiting whatever the time period is, you will hold insurance rates that will be sky high.
I don't often recommend attorney involvement, but within your case I think you should hope legal advice. You want to NOT accept blame for these tickets, and put them back where on earth they belong if possible. And only an attorney can advocate you on that. If you are stuck with them you may be looking at not being competent to get a license for a very long time.
