Answers:    In many states, no. While it may not show up on a 3-year or 7-year driver license check, it will show up on a criminal surroundings check as a conviction. Only non-convictions drop off a criminal environment check after seven years, as it is illegal to hold a non-conviction against someone (and it have to deal next to the same law that protect your credit report).

The good report is, many employer will overlook the conviction, even if you are required to drive for them, because it has be more than seven years ago. This is mainly because of insurance company requirements. The push button to the entire situation is to not have another charge after that first one and to be honest on your application.

Lying something like any conviction could be the reason you are denied employment or are terminated after employment.

P.S. In my state of Florida, you can apply for an expungment and if granted, own the charges sealed from your criminal transcript (only a judge could access a hermetically sealed record). But, since this was more than 7 years ago, it is really not worth the cost unless you are running for bureau. Personally, if I was running for department, I would want something like this to come out, so I could address it publically and show how we can swot up from these things.

Does anyone here hold their auto insurance...
