Auto Insurance Company Lowballing me? What do...

Answers:    Some posts are incorrect and some slightly correct...

As long as you own comprehensive coverage under your policy, the insurance company will earnings the entire bill. Florida statute states that the insurance company is _required_ to waive the deductible for all windshield defile (it might need to be repaired or replaced). But the switch is _you have to enjoy the coverage on the policy_, comprehensive coverage. No comprehensive coverage, no deductable waiver, no claim.

There are about 9 states that require the insurance companies to waive the deductible. Florida it applies singular to windshield. Other states it applies to all chalice.

Also, most insurance companies will waive the comprehensive dedutible (again, you have to own the coverage) if the windshield is _repaired_... even if the state does not require it. If the windshield needs to be replaced, the deductible applies. They do this to incourage a repair, which cost them in the region of $15. If they have to pay envelope for the replacement, even after the deductible, they will end up paying several hundred dollars.

I witnessed an automobile luck and call...

I work for a construction company and we have a glass company follow one of our trucks support to the yard to see if he could repair our windshield. Once he get to the yard he saw that give or take a few half of our fleet needed fresh windshields. All they needed was the year, produce, model and VIN numbers along with our insurance company and they have it all taken carefulness of within a week. At first I thought it be all a bunch of hype. But they come in, I give the vehicle/insurance info and it was adjectives done on my part. And the best part of the pack is I NEVER received a bill. Call your local windshield reapir company and I'm sure they offer like peas in a pod service.
