my car was stolen and involved contained by an accident ,they got the youth who stole it,but the man he hit claimed lb7,000 bad my insurance and now iv lost my no claims bonus surely thats not right is it?
Im currently paying lb2100 a year to be insured on a Jag X type, and yet they wont insure me on somewhat Smart Roadster.
when this happened to a member of my loved ones my family members insurance refuse to have anything to do with the claim by the entity that was hit by my car becoz the motor was stolen so the insurance did not cover that person to drive. The party that was hit had to embezzle the thief to small claims court & try & get the damages that mode.I dont know wot the end result was becoz once the claim be passed on they had nothing to do next to it.I would of thought that would be the case with adjectives insurance. There would be no insurance on the car 4 the thief so the insurance should snub to pay out & they would have to find the money sum other approach. If u put in a claim 2 ur insurance 4 the damage 2 ur own coupé done by the thief u would lose ur no claims anyway becoz of ur own claim 4 the theft but that still would not manufacture ur insurance pay the damage 2 the entity that was hit.
Yeah that sucks. Your gonna have to fight that one. The insurance companies here contained by the U.S. are stickin' it to us also. It's just that there are so copious people who won't buy insurance that drives up the cost for us all. And if that crap happen to me, they would do the same. I'd get screwed over zilch that I did. Sorry to hear about your misfortunes.
Answers: If the insurance company did not pay for any repairs to your vehicle after they should have allowed the no-claims bonus as you did not make a claim on the policy - so I suggest you follow this up - 1st of adjectives politely then through the complaints service (after all it could be a mistake the company hold made -although Direct companies are always looking to see if they can take help of their clients' ignorance). The lb7,000 would be paid under an agreement as 'insurer concerned' beside the MIB to handle claims against uninsured drivers (your insurers are the closest there be to an insurer of the vehicle).
Naturally as a broker I recommend you have your insurance through a firm of insurance brokers rather than buying directly - that road you wouldn't have this problem and have to appeal to the (with respect) untrained helper found on these sites.

No that isn't right. It's utter tosh. You cannot claim from somebody who be in no way involved within the incident. I can't help thinking that there is something missing from this story.
Give your details - car details - take-home pay and away you go. No restriction on driving anywhere in Europe. If sports car is stolen and causes damage company pays out.
Don't enunciate it, I know! Problem in UK is the number of delinquents!

Yes insurance company's in the UK do rip you rotten ,I would make a complaint to the insurance ombudsman at Lloyd's
I can solely think if your car be recovered, repaired and returned to you, your insurers will have taken that as a"claim" against your policy. That's may be why you've lost your no-claims bonus.

I be involved surrounded by a saloon...
insurance contained by the UK is a rip off especially for younger drivers like myself. I get a quote from an American insurance company for a laugh just to compare and I could go and get my own policy on a Ford Mustang GT for the same price as being a name driver on my dads policy with a Ford Fiesta!Im currently paying lb2100 a year to be insured on a Jag X type, and yet they wont insure me on somewhat Smart Roadster.

How can the third party claim from your insurers when you weren't even driving the sports car at the time? Your car was stolen so the little scumbag should be responsible!I can solely think if your car be recovered, repaired and returned to you, your insurers will have taken that as a"claim" against your policy.
