My dad just crashed the truck. He fliped over geting out of the freeway and immediately the truck is damajed.
The problem is that after waiting for a long time no police or highway patrol showed up. Will the insurance cover even though there be no police report? And the accident be individual, no other car be involved and he didnt hit nothing else.
(He have farmers insurance)
Answers: First piece of advice I'll endow with ya, is drop farmers, they are an awful insurance company. Second as long as he has coll coverage on his policy adjectives is good. Veh is expected a total if it flipped over. But if it was a truck it may not be, since the single thing structural on a truck is the frame, unlike cars where on earth the windshield, windshield frame, roof, door frames, trunk , etc are all structural parts. So it may be ok, if they can repair the roof, and other tatty areas, but most of the time roll overs are going to be total losses. He will be subject to his coll ded, and knowing farmers insurance as well as I do, they will bring to the fore his rates, because more then trustworthy the damage is over a thousand dollars. Again drop em.. I am a claims adj, for another ample insurance company in the midwest not FARMERS, but I buy and sell with them at smallest once a week, and they always seem to be to care more more or less getting money out of there insureds, or recounting there insureds to folder with the other company consequently helping them out. No police report will really be needed if it was with the sole purpose one veh, and no injuries, alcohol, other property damage, or deface to the highway. As long as he called them adjectives is good.. If he have injuries just record the claim, and go to the hospital, and present them teh claim number so they can bill Farmers, also use one of there direct repair shops, or I would recommend have them send out a Physical Damage Rep to look at the veh, if they haven't already, and if they want to total it, which they may, don't settle for the first volunteer they give, cuz what they'll do is digit out the NADA, or Blue Book on it, minus any prior damage, or interior wounded, and then label you an offer.. If you update them you want to keep it after they will call a local salvage courtyard and see what they could get for the veh if they sold it to them, they would later deduct that from the total they confer you, so you'll get more if its totalled, and they save it vs totalled, and you keep it, but not much more. There is other room for negotiation, and make sure if nearby were any alien tires, or stereo equipment on the veh, make sure to make clear to them, so you get salaried for it..
As long as dad has collision they should cover it. His deductable will come bad the top first.
