My auto insurance company keeps me on hold forever. Anyway, my put somebody through the mill is if my vehicle is totaled/stolen/flooded will they pay the full amount nominated as value on, or furnish me some B.S. which seems to be their specialty. Does the importance on the papers depreciate?

They will volunteer the book price of the vehicle...if your lucky...not the full amount listed....sorry.
