Insurance ticket beside court date?

In Berkeley, CA if someone is pulled over for 2 moving violations (which I've read could be max $250.00 each) and also received a ticket for no proof of insurance, even though the car is covered for multiple drivers...how much could this possibly cost? Also, is in attendance a way out of it since the car be covered for multiple drivers (the cop refused to look at the registration and insurance after it was found within the glove box).

Illinois Driving Test?

That happened to me once. I got screwed. The mediator didn't want to listen. But I didn't fight it because I can't take time rotten work to go to court.

Im a untried G2 driver, and im...

You can call the courthouse for the costs, as far as the refusal to look at the paperwork, it seem like there is more to the story than you are relating.

Can you insure yourself on someone's vehicle...

Answers:    Yeah, some cops are jerks like that. But afterwards maybe the regulations prohibit changing a ticket once it is written - I'm not sure. But, yes, if you HAD insurance, cart proof to court with you. You may still end up have to pay a fine because you were written up for no proof of insurance, but you'll own to plead your case to the judge.
I'm not sure, but you might own to say "not guilty" to the insurance part and own a trial for that, then if the cop does not show up, you win, if he DOES show up you argue that you had the proof but he refuse to take it once the ticket was written.
So, in attendance IS a way out of it, but you have to confrontation this uphill battle to win. Good luck!
