im learning to drive in my own sports car which is insured for any driver, can my friend who has a full licence for automatic be my co-driver, is this legall.
only if your sports car is an automatic
Answers: If you practise your driving with another qualified driver, they must own held a full UK (or EC/EEA) Driving Licence for the category of vehicle being driven for at least three years, and they must be at least possible 21 years of age. You must also display L plates (or D plates in Wales) at the front and rear of your vehicle when you are driving.
So if your friend have an automatic licence he/she will not legally be able to supervise you.
I would double check to craft sure you are insured to drive your car as most policies that allow anyone to drive the vehicle state that the driver must be over 25 years of age and hold a FULL driving license.

No your friend cannot. The person in the motor when you drive must have a full UK licence if the car you are driving is a encyclopaedia car.
I would also check your insurance. Any driver policies do not entitle literally anybody to drive. I'm guessing that as a provisional licence holder, you will not be covered.
