If I live in CO and work in WY do I hold to register my vehicle in WY?
I work in WY for 6 days a week and come home on my soon off stay the night and stir back to WY to work. I was pulled over for not using a turn signal and he give me a ticket for not having WY plates on my truck.
Does anyone know the statutes for this? I own a home in CO, and rent a hotel room contained by WY for the week. I am only going to be on this job for a couple months afterwards we work our way into CO again. Do I really have to register surrounded by WY?

Thats a crock of BS! By tenet your vehicle is to be registered in the state you live in. I'm sure of this due to the fact that I reside in MN & work contained by WI. I say fight it. That cop is retarded.

Answers: I live within Greeley, and I heard people have this problem before. I go to Cheyenne at lowest possible twice a week for work. If you get pulled over again and they ask you if you are working, say no. I am here for personal reason. They want you to buy a permit if you work in WY. I told cop 1 time I be pulled over and he asked me if it was for work, I told him I was up here to spend money for personal reason's and if he didn't close to that I would take my money to another state. Yeah they want you to buy a permit for work related items.

This is also where you remuneration your state income taxes and are registered to vote. does not sound right i live in vt and worked next to lots of people who work here and live across lake within ny and they all hd ny plates

I live in WY, and the law states that you hold to have your registered where your residence is. So if you own a home within CO, that is where your vehicle should be registered.
