Yesterday as I was departing a multi level parking garage I be involved in a happenstance. I was astern a car next to another behind me. All of a sudden the coup¨¦ in front of me stops because some jag rucksack was trying to be in motion backwards right at a sharp turn(ramping going down is a spiral) after he honks the guy backing up stops and coup¨¦ behind me go around. Right after the guys makes it around this guy surrounded by his 2005 Lexus SUV guns it in reverse right into my coup¨¦. I laid on the horn and even had my vehicle in reverse (luckily I didn't hit vehicle behind me) Since my coup¨¦ was lower his boat hitch busted my turning lights on the right side and moved out a few gashes within my bumber.
As soon as we both seaperated i got out of the vehicle and ask him WTF was he doing? Right away he claims I hit him after the first vehicle went around him. At this point i be so tick I was something like to deck the guy for being an idiot and next trying to blame me. After we both calmed down we said he owned a body shop and he'll take thought of it.
Answers: Since you said he backed into you, and since nearby are no witnesses, you really need to contact YOUR insurance company and provide them beside a detailed description of the events from your perspective, and provide them with his information. Also bring up to date them anything he said to you, and be honest with what you said to him.
That course if anything does happen, i.e. he claims you hit him, he back out of fixing the vehicle himself, etc., the insurance company will take supervision of it. You pay them to promise with this stuff.
