Parking Lot Accident?

I was just involved within a parking lot accident in CA. I be driving my friend's car (who was contained by the car with me). I looked that it be clear and backed out slowly straight. I had back out maybe 3 feet when suddenly I hear a "thud." Another car across from us had back out and turned. We had backed out and cause a big dent on the left rear bumper of the coup¨¦ across from us. Nothing happened to our car.
1) I'm most expected at fault since he was back out more. Is that the case? I usually see things coming, but this be very sudden. Could it have be partially his fault? It seem he backed out quickly lacking looking.
2) Since I'm driving my friend's car. Which insurance should we claim, mine or my friend's? We both have AAA.

About the sports car im taking to...

1. You are atleast 50% at fault.. however, we cannot determine your exact liability as we have not see the damage and taken recorded statements etc.

2. Your friends insurance will be responsible.
I would guess that both parties are at fault because you guys be both backing out at the same time. Did you guys database a police report? were there any other witnesses besides your friend? Since your friend's sports car was involved in the stroke of luck, most likely your friend's insurance company will pay for the damages since it's his/her coup¨¦ that's insured, but I could be wrong. Regardless, you should contact the insurance company and ask them what you should do.

Answers:    Both party were backing. It is probable that the insurance company can place some liability on him as well, but based on the point of impact to his vehicle, you are possible more than 50% at fault for the accident.

Liability coverage follows the vehicle. Your friend wants to report this accident to his insurance company. You were a permissive user.
Yes your responsibility and Yes your insurance.
