I moved to CA recently (no car until a few days ago) and I be wondering what exactly the penalty is (if there is one) for not obtain a California license within 10 days or 30 days or however long the time limit is. I haven't be able to find any information on what exactly they do if you don't get it inside that time period. I haven't had a agency to get to the DMV until just a couple of days ago and I be wondering if there's any kind of fee or fine to expect when I be in motion to the DMV to get a CA license.
Answers: Actually they have no model exactly when you moved to California, and when you decided to make it irredeemable by establishing a residence.
You are supposed to get your new license in 30 days, but few people actually comply. Just budge in and get your license & don't volunteer any info!! They won't ask when you moved to CA...they are far too busy!!
Good Luck!!
