I live in Independence MO and my tags hold recently expired. I just moved to this state and I want to register my vehicle in Missouri. I know you have to take safety inspections done with the vehicle, but I dont know where on earth to take it. What are my options?
Also, how much is it going to cost me to carry new plates/registration?

When you go to the DMV to apply for the new tag, they will ask you to get a state inspection done before you put the actual tag on. I believe they give you a temp inspection for your car until you bring back a permanent one. In NJ we can either obtain inspections done at the state inspection stations or at any authorized car shop.
I can't remember the exact cost to get the trial plates/registration but I think both together costed me about $100 possibly?
