I had a 2004 Pacifica that I was paying in the region of 500/mo on. I had never been in arrears on a payment, nor had I ever missed a gift. The vehicle itself was only worth around 15k, but I owed 27k. I had a total loss housefire about 6 months ago surrounded by which the Pacifica was burnt as okay. I did the necessary steps and my insurance company drafted a check to the bank on which my auto loan be on. However, I still had 12k remaining, in which my Gap be supposed to take care of. I once again sent the company adjectives the information they required. It has been 6 months, and they still own not covered the remaining balance. I have have to make 5 additional saloon payments (always on time) just because the loan is still outstanding until Gap comes thru. Everytime I talk to someone on the phone (which is a low % of the time), they recount me that they are still processing and that it will be X amount of time until it is settled. They inform me that they are not responsible for any refund on the 2500 dollars
Unfortunately persistence is going to be the knob. Stay on their back until they pay. Also when you do attain thru to them, try to speak to a higher level staff applicant if you're getting the runaround.
Answers: If the GAP was near the finance company, it is not real insurance & you probably will own an uphill battle. GAP insurance on your auto policy is normally smaller amount than $30 per year (I haven't seen one over $20 per year but your rates may make it higher). $27,000 is an awful lot to owe on a vehicle that ripened, did you pay too much? Do you have a really dignified interest rate?
I would be calling every day, going higher up the corporate stepladder, so to speak, until you get it paid or an answer why they are not paying.
Just so you know, GAP insurance will not take-home pay any rollovers from prior auto loans, so if you were upside down on your prior loan, traded the car & rolled a few thousand into this one, it is not covered & you are still responsible to reward this amount. So, the GAP insurance will take the $12,000 remaining balance, subtract any amount from an antediluvian loan & pay the difference.

1. Get on the phone, talk to someone higher.
2. If after chitchat to someone higher, you don't get anything, try to be in motion higher.
3. If you still get nil, send them letters requesting that it be done hastily as the reasonable time for payment have passed, explain everything in detail.
4. If you STILL get zilch, contact the company again, but this time state on the phone and in a letter that you will be contacting a advocate to seek payment of adjectives the money plus interest and payments made.
5. If nothing happens again, contact a lawyer/attorney, they will know what to do. At this point you will probably procure your money, if not when you go to court manufacture sure you sue for fraud, and everything you have paid for because of this, including advocate fees, interest paid, and the total that they owe you, minus the deductable.
You have break insurance to cover the problem you have/had, your insurance company should have paid it by very soon. Make sure you get all the money they owe you and switch insurance companies, as they're jacking you around very soon, they probably will in the future.
Pay an attorney to threaten them near a lawsuit and they will move quickly. The longer they can stall you, the less they own to pay, so this could go on for years.

The only concern I own is if you signed any privileges away and did not realize. The insurance had to have have your approval to deposit a check in your account and that could tight-fisted you accepted their settlement.
You may want to get a copy of your policy and any papers you own signed and bring along with you to your Insurance Commission for their assistance. Otherwise, it may cost you to hire an attorney to help you barney them.
If you do have the proper GAP coverage, I feel they will remuneration. They just try and wait as long as they can. You should also be entitled to the payments since the claim be filed.
Have you talked beside your finance company about this. They may know how to help you get the claim remunerated faster. Best of Luck! I hate dealing with insurance companies contained by filing
claims. They are eager to procure out business and want our premiums but they drag their feet on paying the claims.

Hi! Sorry you are getting the run around. Write a firm letter to the company with the Gap Insurance. This should hold been handled approaching any other insurance claim, and the bank should have received the money by in a minute. Send the letter certified. Give them a deadline to contact you to resolve the matter, and agree to them know if they don't respond in a timely matter you will aim legal action. Also notify them you want all payments you made to the bank since you file the claim retuned to you. Best wishes!1. Get on the phone, talk to someone higher.

File a claim beside your State Insurance Commission.
