Question almost not turning within your license when it's suspended...?

I got my license suspended ultimate December for not paying my speeding/failure to stop tickets and I never mailed contained by my license. I paid the tickets (and the other fees for not paying them on time) surrounded by January of this year, but didn't go to the secretary of state to bring my license reinstated, because I don't have a motor anymore or drive. But, now I want to capture it reinstated, and my question is if in that is a fine or any thing else for not turning within my license?

And, I live in Michigan, if that help.

Answers:    The State of Michigan does not require you to turn in your drivers license if it is suspended because it is a form of picture ID. If you go to the Secretary of State with your license and told them it be suspended, all they would do is whip a pair of scissors, snip stale the top right corner, and hand it wager on to you. So no, you will not get surrounded by trouble for failure to turn your license contained by. If you want to get your license reinstated, a short time ago go spinal column to your nearest Secretary of State office near proof that you paid adjectives the tickets. Be prepared for them to tell you that you may hold to wait -- nearby is a mandatory suspension period, but I'm not sure if it's six months or one year. If it's a year, you'll hold to wait until December, but if it's with the sole purpose six months you can get your license put a bet on now. They will charge you a reinstatement tax in optional extra to the regular license fee though. All told you're looking at around $150.00 to $175.00 to bring back your license back.
