Residency Car Insurance and License Plate Question?

I just bought a 2nd house surrounded by FL and this is now my prime residency and where I will report taxes. My other house is in Minnesota. My sound out is that I have two cars both next to MN license plates. I will be keeping one of my cars full time in FL (and I will procure FL plates for it) and the other will never leave the state of MN. Since my MN saloon is not leaving the state do I hold to get a FL license plate for it or can I depart it as is?

What leverage do I own when paying...

Answers:    If you want to keep the MN motor registered in MN, you want a MN auto policy. Not a problem, you can have everything mail to your house there.

Then you can enjoy the FL auto policy mailed to the house THERE.

The PROBLEM is, finding an insurance company that will write you a MN policy, beside a FL driver's license. You'll have to convince them of the summer home/winter home issue. There are some out at hand that do it, don't get me wrong. It's simply that most won't.

Help beside saloon insurance?

I believe you can keep Florida plates & insurance on both cars as long as Florida is your primary residence, or you live at hand over 6 mos a year. I have no notion about MN law. Bob H.
