I sold a car to this guy. He chock-full out the Release of liability and he kept the bill of sale and be supposed to turn that into DMV as well. However, one month after that, i get a ticket from a city just round the corner. So out of my great luck, DMV never received my release of liability and i'm assuming he never turned in what he be supposed to turn in. Now, I hold the franchise tax board motto they will go after my wage because I haven't salaried for the registration of a car i don't even own anymore. What can i do to fix this horrible nightmare?
