Bought a new saloon, let the INS lapse- get into a car calamity and it's been totaled Since it's be totaled my thought was to hold it to auction to at least bring some $ from it- pay the dune and I assume I'll continue to pay cheque the rest off as very well, but the bank still have the lein.
What options if any do I hold.....
I know- I screwed up. How can I get out of this beside the least impact to my wallet and credit?
You can't auction off a sports car w/o a title. Your options are few. Let the vehicle sit & rust to death or fix it. See if it's worth fixing. You didn't mention the vehicle worth before the luck or how much the damage will cost. So it's knotty for me to judge you. But, I will influence this; Shame on you!
If you want to turn over possession of the car, i.e. at auction, you will hold to pay stale the bank first to bring the lien off the title. They may give you other financing options so that you may do this.
You will enjoy to pay past its sell-by date the original loan first, however, within order to deal in the car (or foot it off upon Dutch auction of the car).
In addition, shift after the insurance of the other drivers involved, even if it was completely your error. Not all states place 100% quirk on any one driver. You could be due some money.
