UK MOT Certificate?

With the increasing number of Number Plate Recognition cameras in the UK to fence in wanted vehicle, speeding offenses and expired road fund license, are the cameras now used for catching motorists who hold not got a valid MoT qualification?

If they are not used, consequently why not? and will or when will they be used?

What is the penalty for not have an MoT, (assuming insurance and vehicle is otherwise fit for the road/in position to pass an MoT test)?

Driver not accepting Liabability?

Answers:    Yes they are. You may enjoy noticed that MOT certificate changed a while back - immediately they are all record in a main computer database to which the police have instant access.

I comparatively often see police cars camp out next to the speed cameras surrounded by Portsmouth - they are hooked up to the ANPR systems in the cameras waiting for uninsured/unMOTed cars or drivers near warrants out for their arrest.

Not sure around the penalty for not have an MOT. It would be a fine - I don't think they can sponsor your license. Whether your car is roadworthy or not is largely irrelevant although if the police found fault (ie bad tyres) in that would be additional penalty to pay which might result surrounded by your license being endorsed.

Do insuarnce companies share information between respectively...

mot is already on computer so it merely takes second 4 cops 2 find out. if no mot u have no insurance so if no current tag car is not road worthy
