Vehicle Registration Question?

Ok, I am having a bit of a strong time figuring out a solution to my issue so I thought I would ask here.
My husband and I own a home within MI, and I am living in MI, but he is working/living contained by Iowa. My husband bought a new vehicle within Iowa and so they automatically have him Iowa plates. But our second vehicle which the registration is very soon overdue has MI plates. We cannot renew the plates surrounded by MI without MI insurance, and I cannot attain Iowa plates without anyone in Iowa next to an Iowa Drivers Liscense.
What do you think would be the easies course to resolve this....
I was thinking of getting insurance on the vehicle here for close to one day a short time ago so I can go renew the plate and after cancel it.....is this legitimate....can I do this? Or is there an easier means of access? Please Help!

Do I must pay packet the insurance...

Answers:    In the state of PA if you totally cancell your car insurance the state comes and removes your tag from your vehicle.....

I would reccomend getting an insurance policy with a company that underwrite in both MI and IA, so you can enjoy each vehicle registered where on earth you live, which is the only really official way to touch this.

I am sure a company like Geico or Alllstate would.

One policy next to two vehicles on it would be cheaper than 2 seperate policies.

What do I inevitability to do once...

You stipulation to get a unmarked insurance company. It is possible to have insurance on auto's contained by more than one state. I didnt change my florida insurance to arkansas when i moved but it didnt lead to me any problems in getting tag.
