Visiting CA, do I entail to capture auto insurance?

I have an IL driver's license but no auto insurance. I am planning to visit own flesh and blood in CA. Is it legal for me to drive my mom's sports car without having auto insurance? If not, where on earth can I get short term (2-day) auto insurance?

What should I do almost this?

First of adjectives why do you not have insurance?! That is insane to be driving around without any form of coverage! Does IL not require insurance?
Second of all if it is only two days don't verbs about it. Your mom's insurance will cover you but it might be a good conception to get you listed on her insurance a moment ago to make sure. Other wise merely don't get pulled over and you will be fine.
All that said you really do need to get hold of insurance. I am very suprised that IL doesn't have law requiring it.
You can drive your mother's car with your license and her insurance. If she does not enjoy insurance you are SOL.

It's required that you have auto insurance to drive in IL, and within fact every state requires you to either enjoy insurance or proof of financial responsibility.

There is no such thing as a 2 day policy. The shortest occupancy for insurance is renewal every 6 months.

Now, that being said, if you are asking if you need a separate policy to drive your mother's insured coup¨¦, no you don't. As long as you are driving her car with her go-ahead and she has insurance, you are covered under her insurance policy. It would be a polite idea to have her sign a composition stating you are driving her car with say-so, and have her signature notarized, just within case.

Enjoy your trip.

Drivers ed? contained by north carolina!?

Answers:    The insurance is for the sports car, not your driver's license. If your Mom has insurance on her car, afterwards it should cover you as a temporary driver.
