What Kind Of Insurance Is This?

Just the other day a guy reversed into the back of my Sister's saloon and gave it a diminutive dent. The police came by to investigate the twist of fate. 2 weeks later my sister's insurance company contacted her to inform that the guy who hit her car be at fault. Great! I am sure I wasn't at fault. Note I be the driver of my Sister's car that day.

Then 3 days next after having heard from the Car Insurance Company, they contacted my Sister to threaten her. The Insurance Company said I be not on my Sister's car insurance and that if I should ever meet surrounded by another accident with my Sisters motor, whether being right or not, they will be kicking her off the Insurance.

This ability I may never again drive my Sister's car. I don't have a problem beside that. I have my own car. But what description of policy is this? It was my first time being within an accident, so I don't know much about these stuffs.

I am afraid I won't know how to lend my car to my brother then, right?

What is this BS.?

Over-here sounds the same, you have to insist on the insurance company of who you allow to use your car.

We call it " Nominated Users"
You indicated that you be driving her vehicle. With most companies, you would have need to be nominated on her insurance policy.

They had the right to deny the claim or insurance because she did not disclose all drivers.
I enjoy heard that some insurance companies do not allow persons except the person that owns the car to drive it.

My insurance covers adjectives drivers (permission given).

Sounds like your sister needs to put you on her insurance as an authorized driver or capture better insurance. Could be a state law or something.

Answers:    The insurance follows the human being first, then the car. If you have your own insurance on another car, and this accident be your fault, you would have still be covered

If you are not an authorized driver on her policy, they CAN do that to her. Insurance companies are getting really picky about that these days...

Its like with a rental car. If you rent, but dont relate the car rental company about the extra drivers, YOU are responsible if something happen.

If you use her car with any regularity, I'd catch added as an authorized driver on her policy...

You don't articulate what State you live in or what insurance company you are insured with. Do you own a valid drivers license? Please email the answers to me if my answers below don't answer your questions. There are a couple of ways to be excluded from a policy. If you don't have a valid drivers license. If you live at the address where on earth the vehicle is insured at, you must be listed on the policy. All licensed drivers living at the address where a vehicle is insured at MUST be nominated on the policy.

First of all, which insurance company is it? Secondly the insurance companies are other on the look out for scammers who are setting up very intentional and carefully orchestrate accidents where nobody get hurt but somebody gets a cash settlement check. Fact that this little ding happen between brother and sister makes it look very much resembling a well known scam and it is one they can not attain out of paying unless they spend even BIGGER bucks to have all party investigated. Pretend you did auto body repair work. You ding your sisters car and she turns in a claim. They afterwards must pay either her directly for the damages OR YOU, the repair guy for fixing it. Either approach, you guys split the insurances money irregardless of whether or not the dent gets fixed. Your sister is lucky they did not immediatly drop her and there is a virtuous chance they still will in the hugely near future. Has she rewarded her next months premium since the threatening call? and have it accepted? If not, then dont be surprised if they dont adopt it and drop her policy instead.
There are ways to get more money out of Ins. Co but it varies according to specific variables when making the claim. You asked what type of Company this was. Sadly it is like most the other USA base Ins. Co.

You need to check with your insurance company and own them clarify, preferrably in writing, EXACTLY who is covered to drive your car. If you enjoy same ins, company as your sister then odds are remarkably good that you will be dropped as well.
