A non-red, non- SUV will do the trick. One with a car alarm and lower mileage, newer within years. at least those are the discounts I get next to mine.
Something that isn't lease or Financed . You just pay for liability .

If it's slow (or at least possible not particularly fast...for example, the Mazda Miata is one of the cheapest cars out within for insurance) it provides fewer opportunities to draw from into trouble going beyond the limits of traction or driver skill.
If it's cheap (like an old used vehicle, maybe 3000 bucks or less) it costs less for comprehensive, collision, or uninsured motorist, because any payout would be smaller amount if its totaled. Also, if it's paid for, you don't need to take comprehensive and collision if you don't want to.
If it's crashworthy and has good handling characteristics (see the Mazda Miata again) it will result surrounded by fewer injuries to the occupants if it does crash, and will be smaller number likely to crash in the first place.
If it's a small-mid sized coup¨¦ without any funny protrusions or other odd physical characteristics that would metamorphosis this, it will do less damage to other cars surrounded by an accident.
If it's common, replacement parts will be cheap, gist repairs will be cheap.
Also, a lack of particularly theftable parts help. So if you don't have HID headlights, or if you have the podium model of a car vs. the performance model, you rate less.
All this keeps the costs down for the insurance company, which keep costs down for you.
And BTW, I'm not kidding about the Miata. It cost like peas in a pod to have comprehensive, collision, and uninsured motorist, all in good health above minimum on that as it did for liability only on my 96 Thunderbird, and barely more than my 89 Plymouth Colt lorry.
