Driving a manual car is something you must approaching to do and feel comfortable doing, I have other drove a manual car and to be exact what I feel comfortable driving...but if I lived in a bigger city it would suck, a great deal of stopping and going in a manual sports car gets annoying..and if your on a hill or slope you will roll the sports car back and it turns into a hassle.if I were you I would stick near an automatic..you would be driving a lot safer knowing you are comfortable in the motor you are in...stick with auto and you will be fine.

Cheap sports car insurance for immature family?

Kimmie , an automatic transmission is the style to go in town. A stick shift contained by a suburban area is like a duck paddling surrounded by water, and who needs that? It surely won;'t grant better fuel economy and besides , who today needs a stick shift? It is similar to having a kerosene lanturn for light instead of an electric lightbulb. It's similar to having an outside toilet with running hose inside the house instead of having an inside toilet .It is like have a pony and cart to go to town beside 5 mi away instead of having a car. Stick shift cars are approaching dinosaurs. Who needs them?

California Non-Operation?

Answers:    Well for a untried driver like you, you should drive an automatic for the mean time... Then when you get hold of the chance and time to learn to drive a brochure car, then do so... New drivers close to you I think should go for the automatic first, most specially that you are going to drive within the city.

And don't forget to go get your saloon an insurance... Alright?

Hope this could help you out.

Assuming this is a UK question - if you pass your testing in an automatic your licence will only allow you to drive an automatic. This might never be a problem, but an automatic will cost more to buy & run than a almanac, if you try to find a good second hand automatic they're harder to find and more expensive than the equivalent guide.
You don't say how long you've been research, if it hasn't been that long I'd suggest giving yourself a bit longer as you might get the suspend of it soon. Are you having lessons from a qualified instructor? If you are and he/she is any honourable it would be worth listening to their advice. I know near are some people who just can't bring on with manual gearboxes but I would recommend that you keep trying, then, when you've passed your test you hold the choice of either.
