My younger sister recently turned 18 and got her license. She's within dying need of insurance but she's a D average student and ashamed to show her grades. Does the car insurance discount still apply to students who are 18?
Depends on the insurance company, a good conception might be to call your insurance company and ask. Also you could go to their website as they may provide information in the region of this
Answers: I'm surrounded by CA and I think you are referring to the "good student discount". Insurance companies don't check your grades for discounts, for the most part of a set they won't even bring up the subject. You have to provide them with proof of your flawless grades (ex...copy of a transcript, report card, etc). Then they will reduce your premium by a certain percent. If you don't provide proof, they will not apply the discount to your insurance premium. Your younger sister will salary her regular rate.which since she recently just get her license...will be a bit high.even more so if she plans on insuring a newer vehicle with physical injure coverage.
Hope this helped in some approach.
Best regards
