Will all kinds of vehicle insurance cover a case when a friend borrows a car and get in an accident? What do i requirement to look for in my policy to make sure that my vehicle is covered even if someone else other than me drove my car.
I am not able to totally make sure my answer is fit for your situation. It could be adjectives anyway,it would better you check out yourself here.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...
Look for list of permitted drivers, and excesses for unlisted ones, also the category of WHAT WE WILL NOT PAY FOR: IE Notify insurer of who will be driving it, so they can adjust the premium and keepyou both pleased. your friend should pay his share. Cars aren't free, and freeloaders aren't friends. At lowest on my policy i have a part for uninsured/ lower than insured drivers. you would have to call your agent.
Ps. I well-read a long long time ago not to loan out my car! Tell your Friend to rent a car subsequent time!
if your friend has a valid license, does not live with you and uses the sports car with your permission, consequently the policy would cover them.
It really depends on the kind of insurasnce you have!
Answers: Queen B have correct answer. All polices include any licensed driver not living in your residence, regardless of that persons driving history. You do not have to inform your agent that someone other than you is driving your vehicle. However, if your friend does hold a accident and your insurance runs your friends MVR and finds any adverce tickets or accidents it can exclude that soul from your policy. Hope this helps. PS. The answer from Real_Piz is a not acurate. uninsured/underinsured pertains not to a driver of your vehicle, but to the other vehicle you are involved in an fluke with.
