I purchased a 02 GSXR for rebuild, ive been shoping Ebay for a backside seat and every time i find one somebody gets it since i do! 02 Rear seats are very predetermined! There is a ton 04-07 gsxr rear seats available. Would they fit 02 gsxr ?
Answers: miserably it will not fit. after the 2003 models they changed the seat, which they do every couple of years. this is because of aerodynamics, body shape, body length, body width, etc. and obviously by changing them it makes those who own the newer bikes that need repair forced to buy new seating direct from Suzuki since there will be less "salvage seats" available.
your form will have to be from a 2001-2003 GSX-R.
i highly recommend inquiring your local area on craigslist.com. theres usually lots of people leave-taking out bikes on there [at least contained by my area in North Carolina in attendance area].
