You do realize the 1098R is a 40,000 $ almost full race spec copy of the regular 1098(which can't even beat a cbr600RR) and your comparing it to a standard 11,500$ R1 right? So yes the 1098 R would win(but barely) stock for stock but put almost 5 grand into the Yamaha and the story change again.
That's pretty close, but I'd bet on the R1.
