do you think a 1970 kx 80 will go unyielding on a little 125 thumbster frame. ??

Where do you come up with such mad skills.
I would suggest putting a 1970 Shovelhead Sportster motor within this sled and run like a wild man.
Just conserve it in, spot weld chain connect fence around the entire project and hit the trail.
Now go drink a beer and plan your subsequent project.
first bad, wondering where you found a 1970 KX80? since 1979 was the first year I can find transcription of production (at least in the USA, as the A-1 model)...
but besides that point... any KX engine will be much better than the piece of junk knock off engine if the thumbster is one of the multiple Chinese "dirt bikes".
if you have adequate time and fabrication skills to install the engine, you will probably have a easier said than done time finding parts for that old of a bike when it needs to be freshened up. newly sounds like alot of wasted time & money to throw into something that still won't be a competitive bike.
simply my 2 cents!

Answers: where are you getting parts for this ancient 2 st motor element?? Been obsolete for years now, 1 blowup and your looking for another motor! adjectives that work...wasted. yep, it'll go, but not for long, & no-one will pay envelope u enough for it b4 or after it blows. it's ur life, and physical exertion, but I HATE these Chinese bikes-they're such rubbish. Most others learn to hate them too.
