1979 honda atc troubleshooting?

How habitually should you coppers the grease...

on the right side of the motor in attendance is a safety nuetral switch sometimes the contacts are wack so clean them

Choppers, Hogs -------- WHY?

Bad gas or dirty carburetor.
Check the carb first.
Remove the float bowl to see what kind of unwanted items is in there.
Any foreign issue - drain the fuel tank and add fresh gas.
Install an in-line fuel filter to prevent cast-offs from getting to the carb again.
Most important - remove the jets and hold them up to the frothy.
You should be able to see through them.
Especially the pilot jet (slow speed - long and thin).

Does anyone know where on earth i...

Answers:    if it has spark, why would you expect it's the CDI? atc 70 or 110?

hmmm, '79 had points & condenser system I believe, one of those could be bad or stuck... but near probably wouldn't be any spark.

when was it last running? be there any gas on the plug when you pulled it out to check for spark?

if it's sat for a while, could be jet gummed up from old fuel...
