The bike is a 1980 Suzuki GS 750 E model. It will start and idle next to the choke pulled all the track out, but when I twist the accelerator it stalls out. Also it wont run or start if the choke isnt pulled adjectives the way out even after it warm up. A friend of mine disassembled the carbs and cleaned them. What I want to know is it possible that it is a firing issue? Maybe the floats are bad? I dont know that much nearly this sort of thing. Maybe someone out in that does. Any suggestions on what I need to check would be much appreciated. I do own a little powered know how I just dont know bikes.
Answers: The intake manifolds may be dry rotted. Unless they've be replaced at least twice on a 27 year feeble bike I can guarantee that they're cracked and sucking air.
It is possible that you hold an intake airleak problem. However, I suspect that your friend did not do a thorough carb clean. Have them cleaned by a professional.
