i just bought a 2005 yahama r6, and solitary one of the headlights is on while riding. The second light comes on when i turn on the elevated beam. Is it individual supposed to have one table lamp on at all times, or are both supposed to be on?
Answers: It is exactly impossible to tell apart on my GSXR-1000. Most new bikes near twin lamps use this system very soon. One for dipped headlights, the other for main girder. Nothing to worry nearly.
It's kind of similar to having a coup¨¦ with a 4-headlight system...one bulb for the glorious beam, one for the low floor joist. My brother's ZX6RR is the same bearing...it's done for several reasons, most transparent, to save bulb energy and reduce fry given off by the brighter high-beam storm lantern.
