If I were to look at a dirtbike and determine whether it be a 4 stroke or a 2 stroke how would I know just by looking at it. What is the difference between them?
Answers: Look at the pipe on the right side of the bike. A two-stroke motorcycle have a fat pipe. A four-stroke's pipe is much smaller and skinnier.
The difference is that two-strokes are in the main used for racing, and four-strokes are used for simply riding around on trails. Although, some race bikes are four-strokes. In the 125cc class, 250 four-strokes are aloud also, and surrounded by the 250cc class, 450 four-strokes are allowed.
