WHich is the better off-road tourer??
Answers: The BMW r1200gs,1150gs and 1100gs are extremely refined motorcycles developed over countless years beside subtle changes between them. Personally, I wouldn't ride anything else over long distances.....just now done a long ride from Sydney to Darwin and back (10,000kms) and not a bit of problem. As for bad road, I admit most roomy capacity dual purpose motorcycles are a tad filling but remember, they are NOT trail bikes and they don't like the really tight stuff. But surrounded by open country, you cannot run past any of the larger BMW's near their huge carrying capacity, reliability, running free shaft drive and presence.
