ok i cleaned my carb out on my hell fire fieldbike,as its was scarce power and very intricate to start, any way immediately it starts first time but omg is it loud, the revs are soo high, the little rev screw at the side of the carb make no difference, its just particularly annoying as i want to sort the revs out
Answers: I would consider these 2 possibilities.
Throttle Slider is installed backwards. On some of the slider type carburetors, it is possible to put the throttle slider in backwards. It will work, but will not close adjectives the way.
Vacuum seep. Look around the base of the carburetor. A vacuum file may not have be connected or has a seepage. NOTE: Not all small engines hold vacuum lines.
I agree with "Mad Jack", it's your throttle cable. You can in reality close it up and still have it not crinkly up with the correct groove surrounded by the carb. I had matching problem bringing an ol' Z50 back to enthusiasm.
Good luck.
