2000 V-Star 1100. Mine doesn't like to start when the weather get below 60 degrees. I've have 2 new battery in it, but it will just turn over when it's cool or cold outside, especially in the hasty morning. Done all the fundamentals, cleaning, checking, charging. After it starts the first time, it'll run fine all time. The next morning, it's like thing. Is this a common trait for this type bike? I've had this one for 2 years. Weather is cooling down immediately, 50's and 60's in the morning, and it's doing it already. Current battery-operated is 2 months old. If it's doing this presently, what's going to happen surrounded by October or November when it starts getting frosty?

No really simple solution.
Leaving Battery on trickle charge overnite help keep it topped up,,but more importanly it keep battery Warm.
Perhaps ya could mount a small charger "permanently" on the bike,,,,and after only own to plug in when ya park it?
Beats trying to mount an auxilliary freestyle,,,or carrying one of those lunch-box sized Booster Battery things.
Hard to get around sluggish CRANKING when Cold.

You Can do a couple things to brand it Start better/easier under sluggish cranking conditions.
If You arent already using Synthetic motor grease,,,,give that a try.
I'd suggest one of the desk light weight Mobile 1 oil.
The Lowest Amperage requirement Spark Plugs which are "easily available" are Denso Iridium Plugs.
They'll damn in close proximity fire off of flashlight mobile voltage.
Which gives them excellent accident to start and run the engine under adverse conditions of Cold engine/Cold Intake Air/Rich Mixtures(Choke)/Low Voltage/Slow Cranking.
NGK Iridiums are Usually Prefferable,,but for other reason.
They're an excellent choice also and are only BARELY cadence by the Denso's in Hard Start situations.
Even That I don`t know only in black and white,,,or the difference is not noticeable.
Begin NOW so you dont enjoy to use it when temps really drop>>>>get some Fuel Injection Cleaner and run a fit dose thru a few tanks of gas.
That verbs your carbs' idle/low speed circuit pretty well,,,which also help Starting under unpromising conditions.
I use Chevron Techron,,,but SeaFoam & several other brands are popular and effective.
Use Fuel Injection Cleaner,,,not "carb cleaner".
It's better chemistry and far more concentrated.
Oil,Plugs,Fuel Cleaner AIN'T any actual Solution for Your bike,,or even an answer to your examine.
But it's all Good stuff to do/use ANYWAY,,,and it will incredibly likely HELP plenty to be worthwhile
Wish I had a better answer for you,,but it's a tuff Characteristic to overcome in need going to some extreme-ish method or modification.

Farkin' thing's frozen solid by da sounds of it. Check out yer starter solenoid. One post inside of it on the minor circuit diminishes while the other post grows through electro rahdeedahdee, anyway, the gap from the diminishing post creates a spark as electrons try to bridge da cavity and then burns the rest of it to ash, creating an overt circuit. This is a gradual process but speeds up each time you try to crank her over.Cold temperature shrink metals, copper,ie. post material, shrinks and expands really pious..... Go for the solenoid, check it out, might save yer some coin on battery.
