I'm 14 1/2 (& a girl..) and I really want to get into motocross. I've done my research and granted that a good bike would be Honda CR85 Expert (since i'd be a student..)
we have a mini bike, and my mom doesn't even want me to use that.
whats a virtuous way to convince her? I have it in mind, its a DREAM of mine to do motocross. and i can't do it without her onboard.
nice. i am glad to hear you are set in motocross. i don't do it but i abominate the whole "girls can't do that" point. anyways..i would tell your mom what you told me, it is a dream of yours and you will be not detrimental. tell her you will other wear a helmet and pads and share it her you really want to and that you will be careful. pious luck! hopes she goes for it!
put within effort to EARN money to do it. reward for it with your own money. show that you are prepared to put in efforton a smaller quantity that ideal bike to cram. it might not work.
ps why do you need her? to in recent times learn and cram the skill?
Answers: from a parent's perspective (a dad here of a 23 y/o son & 21 y/o daughter)...
more than promising, your mom has your best interest surrounded by mind, not just trying to be expect to you... is her reasoning for not wanting you to ride that of fear for your safekeeping (valid point) and / or the cost of getting involved (another valid point)?
my mother said NO WAY (years ago) ... but with my attitude and pains showing I was of a mind to work to help beside the cost, kept my grades up, asked if I could do additional chores around the house (washing dishes, mowing, courtyard work, housecleaning, etc.) ... over time she noticed and asked why I be being so useful... my response was I am liable to help out around the house to prove I really do want to do something SPECIALl to me (not freshly have a spoiled brat attitude and pout) ... she eventually give in to letting me acquire a bike (which I paid for on my own) but stood her ground when it come to racing ... after play riding a while, and getting my dad involved he saw that I have a lot of potential and help me talk mom into race MX. I brought home a 3rd place trophy from my first race (out of 36 on the column both motos) ... she was massively proud and then embedded better on having "a passion" for something where on earth you really put forth an effort for something you want....
righteous luck! and feel free to hold your mom email me if she would like more pro's than con's (other than it's chancy and costs money :-) ) from a responsible parent with 2 kids (okay, grown up kids, but other will be kids to me) that both love riding off road bikes ....
