Salty air can do it. Do you live by the the deep?

Is it possible/are within kit available to...

Answers:    There's ample moisture in the air to rust things, especially at the coast (salt water is the worst) or kept in a extremely moist area, like an shortened basement.

How population right to be heard...

yeah, any salty area could impose just that... but I will break it down even a bit simplier ... any bike that is parked out surrounded by the elements (sun, wind, rain, sleet, snow, etc.) for any extended length of time will be drastically weathered... UV rays from the sun really deterioate plastic, make it brittle and chaulky, graphics as well. equally, without lubrication regularly, any non corrosion treated parts will begin to rust, resembling the chain and steel sprockets... along with anything else that might enjoy the paint rubbed off.

think something like an old car sitting out contained by the sun (and other elements)... any exposed nick begins to rust, plastics (like dash) switch on to get brittle and chaulky and even crack...

but the rusting would be accelerated contained by a more humid and / or salty environment.
exposure to sunlight can cause plastic/fibreglass to deteriorate, if it is solely superficial it can be restored, a check with buffing products might make it look better.

Same next to superficial rust on chain & bolts, there are products to remove rust, a wishy-washy coating of oil or rust prevention stuff.
lack of preventive running.

Dirtbike!!?
