i was wondering if anyone may know where i can look to achieve information on purchasing harley davidson police cruisers out of the florida area. i did a few searches but zilch came up so i was hoping someone may own a web address i can go to. gratitude a lot
In NH at seacoast Harley Davidson they own 06 Road Kongs and Electroglides for $12,495.00 I purchased a 05 Road King last year for $12500 with 2200 miles on it.
They usually go back to the pusher for retrofit and resale. So check out your local dealer. An ex police bike is different by way of the foot controls and is very noticable. An example is the red button with siren sign is in place where the horn button usually found on regular bikes.

I know they have police cruiser and all are Road Kings. All Local police agencies surrounded by this area changed to the Classic model, since all police agencies presently have on board computers for checking license. They store them in the Tour Pack.
My experience in the Northeast is that the departments that run bikes hang on to the bikes for a LONG time. They have budgets to replace cruisers, but the bikes are luxury items. The ones I have see at auction are pretty beat up and overpriced.
Answers: Them things get rode rugged while heavy, its not like they newly serenely tour around, its mostly full throttle with a ton of gear, and electronics. Do NOT expect a cream puff. Our local PD offers them to the officer first. And Florida? imagine the worst beating surrounded by the hottest place, and there is the bike your looking for. DONT pay much, seriously they are TIRED. Not JUST HDs, The Kawasakis are whip as well. Check for the value of a same year plain jane HD, no option, cause they dont have any, and consequently add the cost of a complete rebuild, hot clutch, possible transmission, and thats where your at. Few associates consider this while the auction is on, and they think they got a negotiate. CAREFUL!!
