i have a yz85, and im repacking the fmf shorty silencer
i unscrewed the bolts with an allen wrench, but the exhaust pipe cog just won't come out. how can i get this out?

So, knock it out - GENTLY.
Slip a piece of wood into the silencer and hit it near a mallet until the other end pops stale. Be gentle - do go bending the crap out of it!
Answers: yep, slide the silencer off the bike, the end panama should fit pretty snug,
find a broom handle, mop handle, etc. something wooden that will slip into the expansion chamber termination of the silencer... then bump it with a rubber tack hammer or block of wood a few times and it should break loose... might also try spraying WD-40 around the end you pulled the screws out of to loosen any refuse. keep working it, it will come loose.
do not hit it hard, or you might bend the baffle tube but it should break free next to a few good taps...
