my 2007 hayabusa (brought used - at low price ) it shuts down (only sometimes) when i am slowing using clutch and brakes. I use the clutch properly.
and my idle is less next 1000 rpm. could this be the cause?

If you find it does it hasty in the morning or when its cold let it heat up a bit more.
It may be electrical! If it is intermittent!
It could be your fuel filter. I would check that first but if it is doing it everynow and then its hard to say aloud.
You might need to take into a shop and hold them plug in a computer to run a diagnostics test on it!

its usually a knob somewhere on the gone hand side (if sitting on)

Well it could also be the weather I don't know how cold it is where on earth you are at but sometimes its normal when you start a cold bike and you are coming to a light and slowing down right after you started it..for it to stall.If you find it does it hasty in the morning or when its cold let it heat up a bit more.
