i want to sell my honda ns125, its moderately nice condition and has a really sweet engine, but it drinks coolant,
how much do u devise its worth? as it stands now
its a 1988 model and is fairly rare immediately days. it also has 12months mot and due ect, has no paperwork history thoe. for previous mots.
wrong time to flog it
Keep it over winter, locate the leak probably a manager gasket or the water pump. fix it and get rid of in the spring next to the bills for the repair, you've created your own service history.
Sell between february early starters to september past due starters. Bargains ( with extras ) usually October to November. No hopers, clearance, dust magnets, "sold as seen" December- January
Wrong time of year to provide a rebuild project.
You may procure lb250 if you're very lucky.
(a)matt.vibora - lb800 for a bike beside no history? That's loosing water still after a herald gasket change? With a "rebuilt" engine that's not fixed the problem? Feel free to p1ss your own money up against the wall, if it didn't own the MOT and tax, afterwards it would only be worth lb100. lb800! How much of a blinkered fanboy do you nouns!
If the original asker requirements to know what *really* to do with it - afterwards break it. That way he may trade name 5-600 from it if the bodywork is in devout order, forks unpitted, clocks intact etc.
Answers: Is it leak coolant or loosing it in the engine? details please.
one isnt so bleak the other is a money pit.
NS125's are not known for gasket probs. No more unreliable ( or reliable) than any other two stroke 125.
I did over 20000 miles on my 1990 NS125R near no problems at all (except the usual weakness for brakelight bulbs!)
If the engine has be rebuilt and still leak then a muppet did it! lb250 as is sounds right. If it be problem free and very tidy next lb8OO-lb1000 tops.
Do yourself a favour and draw from it rebuilt properly, capture it tidyed up ready to put up for sale in the spring for more dosh!
lb250 thats lunacy, As long as its in perfect condition (especially plastics), and the all gaskets etc are ok next to no major fault , you should beable to get lb800 private Dutch auction, but as the other guys said wait till feb.
