I don't care how "decent" of a driver you deduce you are, there is no purpose to try to figure out how to acquire the bike to go faster if you are trial to riding. (and it is riding a bike, not driving a bike)
best tip: read your owner's manual. it will report to you the average shift points to shift into your gears (my EX250 did) it is a manual nouns, and you will need to agree to the engine rev a bit,
keep the shiny up, and the rubber down.
