Both my ttr250 and my wifes ttr125 have 6 gears. If yours is a 125, it dont situation what model(ER,L,LE) will have 6. It says it on the cranks skin beside the gear shifter.
it have 5 gears well i consider buying a Yamaha R4 its really nice it goes virtuous and fast :P

Answers: The TTR 125, both L and LE have FIVE speeds, not 6. Always have. My wife and daughter both hold one.
My wife's is fully tricked out with the BBR big bore kit and adjectives the BBR parts along with the YZ85 suspension. That bike rips for a gal her size.
