Im not looking to blow people away...not looking to do 0-60 surrounded by micro seconds. I am a 6' 300lb guy. I enjoy never been on a bike and will help yourself to the course before i receive my license.
I see bikes from 75CC to 1500CC. Does this matter to me?
I know the bigger the engine the bigger the CC but what is a suitable size for me? Will 450CC win me going? Im looking to cruise MILES on interstates not 90 on a back road.
In coup¨¦ caparisons i want a v6 car not a v8 boat or a v8 mustang.. something cool but not crazy.. any notion 450..650??
Also I hear for distance I am gonna want a type of cooled engine? or a chain vs belt driven...?
For touring you need a B.M.W shaft driven 650cc. But I must push for you that you will need plenty of tuition on a smaller bike first! The certainty that you weigh 300lbs is really worrying, as the frame on a smaller bike is rather restrictive for someone of your size. Perhaps a chopped Harley would suit your frame better. I'd consult a bike shop close at hand you for professional advice. Have a great daytime!

i personally would never own a cruiser, but that sounds similar to what you have your heart set on,
a japanese 750 cruiser puts out around alike power as a 1500cc harley,
belts are good but are more expensive to coppers than chains,
shaft are better because they require basically no maintanance,
but affix alot of weight to the bike,
if you lately wanna look cool then buy your self a harley,
but if you want to chew the mileage away, on a respectably efficient tourer then i would look at a honda vfr800,
they are comfortable, reliable, enjoy a good band of hard panniers for storage, and are a pant nouns faster than any cruiser would be.
but its all down to personal feelings,

Just because a man is sitting with his foot up on a bike, dont think his Harley doesn't hold something in store for you. Today's Harley's are much different than the bikes surrounded by the past...Read the reviews and reports of the 07-08 Japs vs Harley...Don't go and get a "Sport Bike" because (a) 300lbs you will be uncomfortable and look rediculous...They are extremly hurried bikes that too many Amatures become one next to the pavement because they bit off more than they could chew...
Anyways I would read out not to get a Harley as a first bike...Get something that is to say around 1300cc...The Yamaha Roadstar looks probably the nicest and rides well...Honda's VTX is a great bike as powerfully with 1300 or 1800cc option...You don't want to get a Small CC bike because it will be a Dog.(a) 300lbs she will be over working, especially if you want somebody on the posterior later on. You will out grow it surrounded by 6 months...Trust me I have trained oodles how to ride, and they all want to upgrade precipitate...1300cc is quick but doesn't contribute you too much power as a beginner...I enjoy a friend that bought a 1800CC with soon of riding under his belt...Get the 1300cc catalogue and you will thank me...6' 300lbs should ride nothing smaller amount than a 1100...
